Tony Vanchieri, Government Connections Lead

Tony Vanchieri is a seasoned professional with a diverse and impactful career in utility management, economic development, and community engagement. As the Government Connections Lead at NV Energy, Tony serves as the principal liaison for government accounts across Nevada, including cities, counties, airports, hospitals, and educational institutions. His role involves direct collaboration with economic development leaders to foster sustainable growth and development in the region.


Tony brings to his position a wealth of experience from his previous role at Southwest Gas, where he managed new development projects across Southern Nevada. His career has encompassed various sectors, including utilities, municipalities, higher education, transportation, and technology. Tony is renowned for his excellence in sales, community development, and management, and has established a solid reputation for building relationships with key stakeholders such as CEOs, Board Members, Mayors, and Commissioners.

Academically, Tony holds two bachelor’s degrees and a master’s degree in leadership and management. He has also earned a Human Resource Management Certificate and has completed coursework in Energy Sustainability Management & Policy. His educational background underscores his commitment to professional development and his expertise in managing complex projects and initiatives.


Tony's dedication to community service is exemplified by his involvement with the Southern Nevada Home Builders Association (SNHBA), where he serves on the Board of Directors and participates in multiple committees. His volunteerism and leadership were recognized when he received the SNHBA's HomeAid “Hero of the Year” award, reflecting his passion for giving back to the community.


In addition to his professional and volunteer commitments, Tony enjoys traveling and spending quality time with his family. His dynamic leadership style, collaborative approach, and commitment to community and professional excellence make him a valuable asset to NV Energy and the wider Southern Nevada community.
