Ana Adkins, Sr. Analyst, Government Affairs

Ana began her career journey in the vibrant world of hospitality, where she spent 13 years honing her skills in Operations, Marketing and Sales Management. It was during her tenure at MGM Resorts International that Ana discovered a passion for economic development, recognizing its role in shaping communities and driving growth.


A pivotal chapter in Ana's career unfolded at the Vegas Chamber, where she delved into the intersection of business and politics. This transformative experience ignited a passion for public affairs, setting the stage for her transition to Southwest Gas as a Senior Analyst in the Public Affairs department.

In her role at Southwest Gas, Ana oversees the company's Southern California territories, leveraging her expertise to ensure efficient operations. Additionally, she plays a key role in state and local affairs for Nevada, advocating for policies that promote sustainable energy solutions and enhance the quality of life for all.



Beyond her professional commitments, Ana is deeply engaged in serving the community. As the Nevada Branch Director for the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP), she is instrumental in providing support and resources to administrative professionals across the state, empowering them to thrive in their careers.


Originally hailing from Mexico, Ana has called Las Vegas home for the past 30 years and takes pride in remaining deeply connected to her roots, actively contributing to initiatives that celebrate and support the Mexican-American community in Las Vegas.


Outside of work, Ana finds joy and fulfillment in family life. She and her husband, Tyler, share two little girls, Sophia and Stevie
